about

“Rewritten” is the title of Edbrooke Collective’s first album. The word rewritten means to “write (something) again so as to alter or improve it.” We would like to think that this is what we are doing, by taking these great old hymns and rewriting them into a new musical context. We also see the word “rewritten” to be fitting for what Jesus has done for us. He didn’t just replace the temple with something else. He replaced it with something better. Himself. We love the double meaning and in this way Jesus has “rewritten” salvation for us.

Reviews

"We hear in this very little about our effort, our experience, our ability. We hear much about the objective reality of God’s power, His sovereignty, and His grace through His Son, Jesus Christ. It doesn’t get much better than this!" - Zac Hicks, Associate Pastor of Worship & Liturgy at CCPC
